The message begins with recounting the story of a congregant that you were trying help with his own personal issues. He essentially says that he thinks he is smarter than any of the staff and you. This message is a warning about intellectual pride. We are to be cautious to not get puffed up in our own knowledge to "be not wise in your own conceits." The antidote is to work out our salvation in fear and trembling, in humility, to walk humbly with God. It is God that gives us knowledge and wisdom. VF-1878 1 Corinthians 15:10 Romans 12:16
